Several schools in the U.S. state of Georgia have seen students and staff infected by COVID-19 after reopening. In fact, one school nurse has quit her job in the wake of what she calls a "heartbreaking situation" and a sophomore was suspended after publicly sharing a photo of a throng of students, many without masks. While the teenage girl's suspension was rescinded after public outcry, debates continue nationally over whether in-person learning should resume despite a worsening pandemic.
